How Did we Get Here?

At our last staff meeting we talked about next year being the 10 year birthday of the PARC, and how we might like to celebrate it. First of all, 10 years!!! Oh my goodness. I remember when we began this journey. Even though the concept was so hard to explain and didn't really make a lot of sense, many of you walked with us and gave all that you had. Many more believed that we would never make it. But we made it, and many of you have joined us along the way. I still don't understand how we got here. But we are here!

From the day when Robert and I opened our account with $150, $75 a piece. That was all we had. We were washing windows to try to make ends meet. Until now where our building is paid off, we have purchased the property behind us and beside us, and we have raised $650,000 towards building a new building!! How? How did this happen?

I can't really tell you. I can tell you about many of the miracles where God has broken through for us again and again. I can tell you about some of the 100's and 100's of individuals who have walked through our doors and have had their lives changed for now and for eternity. But I don't really know. I don't really know how we got here, but I am so very grateful.

I am the most unlikely person to be doing this. I feel honored. I feel chosen. My life has been impacted by the most amazing and incredible people that I would never have met if it wasn't for the PARC. I always tell people that I love it! I wouldn't recommend it, but I love it. It has been hard. It has been beautiful. It has been stressful. (Has anyone ever told you that miracles are stressful?) It has been joyful, painful, miraculous and soul-searching. But here we are, about to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. And about to start work on a brand new place that will hold twice as many people as we do now. Isn't this amazing? Isn't God amazing?

Thank you for being a part of this miraculous journey. Thank you for joining in and walking beside us. The PARC is making a big impact to be such a little place. To still be so young. We will continue to do so. We will increase our footprint and take more territory. Our goal is to reach our goal of $945,000 before this year ends. We will then do our best to break ground at the first of the year. Wouldn't it be amazing if we could celebrate our 10 year birthday in our new budling? Wouldn't it be amazing?
