"Enlarge the place of your tent and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare. Lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. For you shall  expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited" Is. 54:2-3  I love this verse. It is the verse I believe that the Lord has given us for the PARC. I have never thought that the PARC is just a place for those who are homeless to come during the day. I have believed passionately that we are set here to change people, and that those people will change this city. I believe that God will use the PARC to shift and turn our city towards God's heart and what He designs and desires for our community.

The Lord told us to build this new building. Yes, we need it because of all the people. There are so many coming to the PARC right now!  But I believe that it is bigger than that. We are an extension of the church. We are set here to bring love, the love of Christ to people that don't feel loved or even worthy of love. What I have seen over and over is the power of that love, God's love. It truly changes people.

So, as the Lord has said to us that we need to expand to the right and to the left, we will do so. We will let Him stretch out the curtains of our dwelling. We will commit to lengthen our cords and strengthen our stakes so that the nations and the city are changed. The PARC is set in the perfect place. Those who come to the PARC are God's favorites. He loves to use the underdogs and the overlooked to carry out His divine and miraculous purposes. Of course He will use the PARC. We just need to LET Him.

We have been through some hard things these past weeks. But we witness over and over throughout the Bible and history that when people start making a difference in God's name, hard times seem to come. Breaking new ground seems to always stir up trouble. I tell you today that we are committed to stand this ground that the Lord has given us. We will fight with love and prayer. We see the change every day in our members. I declare to you today that it won't be long until you begin to see change in our city that is spurred by the declaration of the PARC.

We must build. We must stand. We will see the salvation of the Lord.
