Peace, Confidence and Courage

“But the one who always listens to me will live undisturbed in a heavenly PEACE. Free from fear, CONFIDENT and courageous, you will REST unafraid and sheltered from the storms of life." Prov.1:33 TPT
Those words jumped off the page to me today. I believe that the word that defines the 'storms of life' for us right now is transition. When we are in a transition, whether good or bad, it is stressful. We are going from something familiar into something unfamiliar. We don't know what to expect or what lies ahead.

I hear a lot of people say, "I just can't wait for things to get back to normal", while in the back of our minds we wonder if things will ever be "normal" again. We are indeed in a MIGHTY transition, and we have no clue what lies ahead. Rules, laws, and mandates are changing daily.  We don't know what is expected of us, and making plans seems fruitless, because who knows what will be going on by then, or what restrictions will be placed on us. It's frustrating, scary and discouraging. Many times I feel the sense of hopelessness trying to overtake me.

We are in a battle right now. We are in a battle for the spirit of our souls. When I read today that I can have heavenly peace, not just peace but HEAVENLY peace, I wanted to shout, "Yes please! I want that!" I can be confident AND courageous because I will rest unafraid and sheltered from the storms.

The words right before those promises tell us how this will happen. "The one who listens to me.." I am more aware than ever before that we need to hear God right now. We need to pursue Him and what comes with His presence and His words. All the time I hear myself say, "I just want to know the TRUTH." Well, there it is right before me every single day. The Truth of God, written in black and white, telling me what is true and right. Do you want peace right now? Ask God for it. Do you want faith? Ask. Do you want to be confident and courageous even though we have no clue what lies ahead? Just ask. God wants that for you, too. I pray for you today. I pray that you experience that heavenly peace that allows you to rest because you are sheltered from this storm of life we are in right now. I pray that you will have confidence and find courage because you know the Truth.
